FUVAHMULAH TO LAAMU: THE TOURISM DISCOVERY TOUR

Recently, the resort welcomed multiple visits from schools beyond Laamu, including Grade 10 students from Fuvahmulah from Gnaviyani Atoll.

As part of their exposure tour across Laamu, a total of 46 students visited the resort to gain firsthand insight into resort operations. During their visit, students were given a guided tour of key departments such as the front office, kitchen, spa, and the heart of the house. They also toured the SHELL, participated in a sustainability tour, and attended a session on waste management.

This experience is invaluable for students, offering them a glimpse into the hospitality industry, which plays a vital role in the Maldivian economy. By seeing the inner workings of resort life, students are better equipped to consider future career paths within the hospitality sector—a key driver of the country’s development. These exposure tours have become an increasingly important part of educating the next generation about potential career opportunities in this industry.
